Lighting Up
We have had many meetings devoted to lighting but I don't think I have ever seen so much gear to enhance a presentation.

We are indebted to Geoff Partridge who filled up his car and set up a wide range of lighting equipment, screens and reflectors.

His interesting and informative talk covered all aspects of lighting for film makers. Especially relevant was the demonstration of   light spectra emitted by different artificial light sources.

We learnt that if a particular colour band is reduced in intensity in  the light emission spectrum, it is difficult to compensate for this in post production. If colour accuracy is important then light sources must have high colour rendering indices (CRI)

He brought along a portable spectroscope which members had the opportunity to experiment with. This clearly showed the colour bands of different quality LED lamps.
